Brief synopsis: Col. Jack O'Neill is called out of retirement and asked to travel through the Stargate, a strange portal into another universe. His mission: to rescue Prof. Daniel Jackson from the planet Abydos before the military destroy the portal. On Abydos, O'Neill and his crew learn that Daniel has discovered an amazing map that reveals the location of many more stargates.
